Remotely Operated Vehicle
ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) are diving robots controlled via a fixed cable connection from the ship or the land. ROVs can carry out maintenance work, inspections, and other offshore work. This makes it possible to dive significantly deeper and to work longer underwater.
The operator controls the device optically. A live camera integrated at the ROV delivers the image to a monitor. An ROV is used whenever the work underwater is too risky for a diver or when the work takes too long.
